Jimmi Buscombe is a full-time artist based in Warrnambool, on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. He specialises in high detailed wildlife art, portraiture, anamorphic public art, murals & street art, using a range of styles and techniques to create stunningly life-like representations of his subjects. The creative aim within his work is to create joy and connection through reflections of the natural world and the people, animals and plants that inhabit it.

Jimmi has been commissioned by councils, private clients and organisations both nationally and internationally, every piece of artwork treated with care and consideration. Jimmi has been a finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and The Kennedy Art Prize and has won the Judges Prize (2018), come 2nd in the Judges Prize (2021) and won the Peoples Choice Prize (2019 & 2023) at the Warrnibald Portrait Prize (the Warrnambool Art Gallery annual portrait prize). 

Jimmi is passionate about the visual arts and the important role they play within a healthy, well-functioning community.

Jimmi is most widely known as the artist who created The Warrnambool Wombat mural, which was made into a now viral video by Emily Bissland of ABC, receiving in excess of 62 million views worldwide.
